Tallow is known for its skin healing and conditioning properties. It is a very mild and non-irritating moisturizer. Tallow is the rendered fat from beef cows.
I infused herbs in olive oil for 3 months to make this recipe because I wanted to add the skin healing properties from the herbs to my recipe!
There are three options:
Unscented - These have a mild beef tallow scent that fades quickly.
Ho wood - I added this essential oil which is thought to promote tranquility, aid in sleep, smooth sore muscles, and relieve skin irritations.
Frankincense - I added this essential oil to these options to promote skin tightening and it is also thought to improve skin’s appearance and help to clear occasional blemishes.
Carrot seed oil is thought to aid in skin repair. It’s full of nutrients, including beta carotene and vitamins A&E. It can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and also contains a natural tanning enhancer for a lovely skin glow. It helps heal psoriasis, dermatitis and eczema. It can also aid in healing rashes, sunburns, and relieve general itching. Lastly it’s thought to improve the elasticity of skin and the increase firmness.
